    John Holmes was last seen at South Kesteven District Council offices in Grantham on Monday 21 January at about 16:15.

    Mr Holmes, who's 48, was wearing a woolly jumper, navy blue jogging bottoms with white stripes, a black coat, beige woolly hat and blue and white trainers.

    A Lincoln man who's on board a migrant rescue ship is being detained in Italy.

    Jon Stone is part of the crew of The Sea Watch 3, a charity ship which has rescued about 50 migrants between North Africa and Europe.

    The Italian authorities allege the ship has broken environmental laws, which the crew denies.

    A masked man has threatened staff with a knife in a Lincoln corner shop.

    The robber went into the West End Food Store on West Parade at about 15:30 yesterday.

    No-one was hurt and the thief escaped with a small amount of money, police say.

    The suspect is described as being slim and was wearing a grey balaclava and jacket.

    Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace in connection with violence which broke out after a Lincoln City home match.

    Rival supporters threw coins and bottles at each other within the grounds of Sincil Bank following the Imps game against Mansfield Town, on Saturday 24th November.

    One Lincoln City fan, a 51-year-old man, was hit in the eye by an object and seriously hurt.

    Detectives say they're working closely with Lincoln City Football Club.

    A motorist racially abused another driver on Wygate Park in Spalding, just after 20:30 on Tuesday night.

    Officers would like anyone with dash cam or CCTV footage to get in touch.

    Plans for a medical school on Brayford in Lincoln are being considered by City of Lincoln Council.

    The designs, which were revealed last summer, include lecture theatres and laboratories in a five-storey £21m building on the university campus.

    Speaking last summer, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lincoln, Professor Mary Stuart, said: "The medical school will make a huge difference to the people of Lincolnshire who will benefit from the establishment of this hub of medical expertise, training hundreds of young people, many of them local, to become doctors and encouraging them to stay in the county."

    A petition's been started in protest over a new car parking system at Lincolnshire's hospitals which it's claimed is proving stressful for patients and visitors.

    Sue McQuinn, who regularly visits Lincoln, Boston and Grantham hospitals, says the new system's not fit for purpose.

    The new automatic number plate recognition system and pay machines went online at the end of last year, but initially there were a number of technical problems.

    Now Ms McQuinn is calling for barriers to be reintroduced instead.

    Hospital managers say they're confident the system is now working well.

    The previous barrier system caused delays, didn't always work and was expensive to maintain, they add.

    Hundreds of swimmers are gearing up to raise money as Grantham Rotary Club's annual Swimarathon begins.

    Lincoln's Drill Hall is in danger of closing 15 years after it reopened as an arts centre.

    Managers say their public funding has been cut and to stay open they need to raise £130,000 a year.

    A fundraising campaign has begun today.

    The Drill Hall was built in 1890 for the 1st Lincolnshire Volunteer Battalion.

    After World War Two it was used as an events venue; the Rolling Stones performed on stage in 1963.

    After falling into disrepair and in danger of closing, it was refurbished and reopened in 2004.
