As I cycled though the streets of central London I slowly realised I'd become the member of a gang.
Wordlessly a group of commuters had formed a pack around me, hunting for a free docking station in the streets around Piccadilly.
I often cycle to work using London's cycle hire scheme, to speed up my commute. The Tube strike had forced commuters to try new ways of getting into work.
But during my Tube strike commute I found that even in the midst of a crisis, Londoners have not lost their ability to find humour in miserable moments.

Theresa May's official spokeswoman said: "As with the Southern Rail strikes, the Prime Minister thinks it is unfair to be creating disruption for people in such an unfair and unjustified way."

Aerial footage shows heavy traffic and long queues for buses during Monday morning's rush hour in London, as commuters try to get to work despite a 24-hour Tube strike.
