James Haskell's not far off. I think if James Haskell is not fit this week, [it'll] be next week. I think Thomas Young will probably be fit next week, not this week

  3. 'Pay outpaces house prices' in many areaspublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 13 September 2017

More than half of Britain has seen wages rise faster than house prices in the last 10 years, research by a mortgage lender has suggested.

Edinburgh and Birmingham are among the 54% of areas where pay has outpaced property prices since 2007, the Yorkshire Building Society found.

Yet the gap between wages and house prices has widened dramatically in other areas.

Across London and much of southern England, it has become "increasingly difficult for first-time buyers and those wanting to move up the housing ladder", said Andrew McPhillips, chief economist at the Yorkshire Building Society.

The unsolved murder of a widow who had survived the Holocaust is to be reviewed by police.

A fresh appeal for witnesses has been launched after 68-year-old Emmy Werner was killed in a Bayswater hotel 45 years ago.

Emmy's body was found in her bed by a chambermaid at Queens Hotel, Inverness Terrace, W2 on Sunday, 17 September.

She had been strangled and suffered other serious injuries, suggesting she had awoken and disturbed her attacker.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested within a few weeks of the murder and charged but he was acquitted at the Old Bailey in February 1973.

Officers are now taking a fresh look at Emmy's murder in the hope the passage of time may provide some clues and encourage people to come forward, the Met Police said.

A reward of up to £20,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of her killers.
