  13. Proposals to shake-up Parliamentary constituenciespublished at 08:12 British Summer Time 13 September 2016

    Andrew Sinclair
    BBC Look East political correspondent

Proposals have been published this morning that would see the shape of every Parliamentary constituency in Norfolk change.

It's part of a major shake-up designed to make constituencies more equal in size and reduce the number of MPs in Parliament.

A map of constituencies in NorfolkImage source, Boundary Commission

No seat disappears altogether in Norfolk but among the notable changes Great Yarmouth will expand to take in part of South Norfolk, Aylsham will move from Broadland into North Norfolk while Elizabeth Truss's constituency of South West Norfolk will also include the Cambridgeshire town of Littleport.

These proposals are much less messy than the last set which came out in 2011 but Labour will not be happy as these plans make seats like Great Yarmouth and Norwich North less Labour-friendly and therefore much harder to win.
