One of Norfolk's most historic pubs has closed and been repossessed by the Greene King brewery.
The Lord Nelson, in Burnham Thorpe, external, is named after the naval commander who was born in the village. Built in 1637, it was decorated with memorabilia relating to the sea lord, but that has been stripped from the walls.
One former worker, who did not want to be named, said she believed the pub employed seven staff but did not know if she would be paid. Landlady Debbie De Groeve said she couldn't comment today and was packing items to take them away as the officials from the brewery arrived.
We are awaiting a statement from Greene King.
