The message Alex Neil will be piping into his players will be 'remember Saturday'. We were 2-0 up in that game. Make sure we put this game to bed. It's a bit of an adage that 2-0 is a difficult scoreline, but I'd rather being going in at half-time 2-0 up than 2-0 down.

The Canaries were 2-0 up at half time against Cardiff on Saturday, only to narrowly win 3-2.

We've reached half-time in eight of our 10 Championship matches this evening, so here's a round-up of what's happened so far...

    • Goals from Jonjo Shelvey and Ayoze Perez have high-flying Newcastle 2-0 up at QPR and on course for a sixth successive victory.
    • Norwich are 2-0 up against Wigan thanks to a couple of early strikes from Jacob Murphy.
    • Lowly Preston are beating Cardiff by the same scoreline, Callum Robinson grabbing their second goal just before half-time.
    • The match between strugglers Leeds and Blackburn at Elland Road remains goalless.
  15. 'Maestro Hoolahan'published at 20:12 British Summer Time 13 September 2016

    Norwich 2-0 Wigan

    Quote Message

Once again the maestro Wes Hoolahan was at the centre of it all. A lot of Wigan players put their hands up thinking he was offside. It was a good save from Bogdan but he couldn't get it over the crossbar and Jacob Murphy was the quickest to react to it.

Leeds 0-0 Blackburn, Norwich 2-0 Wigan

Leeds keeper Robert Green and Blackburn striker Sam Gallagher collide and it looks nasty for both players, who quickly receive some treatment. Green gets a bandage to his head and thankfully both players will continue.

Meanwhile, Norwich are now 2-0 up at home to Wigan after a second early goal for Jacob Murphy.

It could be a long night for the Latics...

We have our first goal in the Championship this evening and, my word, it's a howler from the goalkeeper.

Adam Bogdan makes a huge error and Jacob Murphy capitalises from close range, taking the ball off him and simply tapping into the net.
