The James Paget, near Great Yarmouth, and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn have seen the number of nurses quitting double.

It comes as the health service has excess vacancies of nearly 4,000 in the East region alone.

Hospitals have little choice but to try and recruit abroad.

A spokesperson for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital says the rise is down to English language tests becoming harder, rather than the Brexit result itself.
