"We've been to a few one-day finals, we've won the Natwest one time, but, in the Championship, something was missing.

"I don't think the guys generally believe enough in themselves."

    Martin Heath
    BBC Radio Northampton

The new director of children's services at Northamptonshire County Council says there will have to be redundancies within the management team, to make the department more efficient.

Lesley Hagger joined the authority five weeks ago from Leicestershire County Council. She had a reputation for running the social services department there at a low cost.

Children's services in Northamptonshire were found to be "inadequate" by Ofsted inspectors three years ago.

Ms Hagger says the jobs won't go immediately, but she has to make savings by the end of the financial year and focus resources on front-line services.

We need to think about how to improve services and reduce costs at the same time, and I think that's possible."

We know, lots of you are very excited having secured the grades you were hoping for... but if you didn't get the A-level results you wanted, you might be thinking of retaking a year.

The Newsbeat team have been speaking to Finn. He got "terrible" grades (U,U,D,E) so stayed back a year to try to get what he needed.

Take a look at his guide in full for how to cope, but he says the main things are:

    • Work out what went wrong first time round
    • Are A-levels really for you?
    • Other people are in the same boat
    • Don't try to be the cool guy from the year above (you won't make new friends that way)
    • You WON'T lose all your old friends
    • A year really isn't that long
