  14. Northants children's service has suffered from loss of 'amazing people,' social worker claimspublished at 09:11 British Summer Time 17 August 2016

Retaining staff at Northamptonshire County Council's children's services department has been hard work.

The under pressure service only came out of special measures earlier this year, but an Ofsted report said work still needed to be done to improve the retention of social workers.

Staff leaving means inconsistency for children and big agency costs, but a new mentoring scheme is hoping to tackle that.

Social worker Janice Snelson spoke to the BBC earlier this year about the pressures workers face.
