Det Sgt Johnny Campbell, who led the investigation, said: "Research suggests there are up to 13,000 victims of slavery across the UK, so there will be victims in Northamptonshire and we are committed to locating them.

"We need people across the county to be aware of the signs to look out for which may indicate somebody is a victim of human trafficking or modern slavery.

"This could be multiple occupancy of a property with people being collected early in the morning and brought home late at night.

"It could be that you notice workers are not dressed appropriately for outdoor work including gardening, washing cars or in agriculture."

  4. Hard luck on Hartley: Reaction to Lions selectionpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 19 April 2017

We reported earlier that Northampton Saints hooker and England skipper, Dylan Hartley, will miss this summer's British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand.

Coach Warren Gatland chose Wales back row Sam Warburton to captain the 41-man squad.

    Quote Message

A decision that will be doubly galling to Hartley - missing out on a tour to the country of his birth and seeing a man picked who is his back-up for England. Even if, in truth, it was more of a battle for the third hooker's spot between Hartley and Owens.

Tom Fordyce, BBC chief sports writer

    Quote Message

It's hard luck on Dylan Hartley. I feel very sorry for him. Warren Gatland is taking one hooker, Rory Best, with 100 caps and two other hookers with not as many caps added together to be half of what Hartley's got. Experience on a Lion's tour at Test level is absolutely paramount.

    Ian Robertson, BBC rugby correspondent

Hartley tweeted his congratulations to fellow Saints players Courtney Lawes and George North, who were included in the squad.

The pair said they were "honoured" at their selection.
