  2. Tuesday's weather: Chilly but mainly drypublished at 08:10 British Summer Time 18 April 2017

    Kate Kinsella
    BBC Look East weather

It's a chilly start to the day, with figures in low single figures, and one or two of us do have a few showers, but most of us should see a decent amount of sunshine.

The further west you are, the drier the day and the more sunshine you'll see,  but you'll still have the chilly north-easterly breeze.

The showers will mainly affect more easterly parts, and the east coast, but they should die away.

Top temperature across the region of 12C (54F).

  9. Extras cost Northants dearlypublished at 12:35 British Summer Time 15 April 2017

    Derbyshire 281 v Northamptonshire 10-0

Derbyshire may just be the more satisfied team with this first innings. From 114-4 and having fought through some tough conditions, they have battled their way up to 281.

Northants may feel they didn't quite hit their straps yesterday, as well as last week. The extras column - worth 47 - is also rather high. However, Nathan Buck has finished with a career-best 5-68.

It is a much more pleasant day in Derbyshire and a better one on which to bat in theory, so Northants will hope to try and enjoy the Easter sunshine - while it lasts.

  13. Dark skies, but runs flowingpublished at 12:14 British Summer Time 14 April 2017

    Derbyshire 46-0 v Northamptonshire

    Alex Winter
    BBC Radio Northampton at Derby

It looked an easy decision for Alex Wakely to send Derbyshire in this morning and there has been a little help for the bowlers under laden skies and with the floodlights on.

But the wicket appears to be playing rather easy-paced and the openers, Billy Godleman and Luis Reece on debut after his winter move from Lancashire, have been relatively comfortable.

Ben Sanderson has asked the most questions in a probing six-over spell, causing Godleman in particular a few nervy moments but so far, it's a steady start to what Derbyshire folk will be hoping will be a new era for the county after the travails for 2016.
