    Do you remember yesterday we told you about the "little house" in Newark, which was sandwiched between a bank and the town hall?

    Well today we have had a sneak peak.

    It's not known when the house was built or who previously lived in it but it is thought to pre-date the town hall built in 1776.

    Patty Temple, curator at Newark Town Hall Museum, is appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

    Well, it's a Pagan event to ward off evil spirits and bring about a good apple harvest and it's been taking place near Southwell.

    It involves making loud noises to "scare off spirits", crowning a king and queen and lighting fires.

    The newest gritter in Leicestershire County Council's fleet has been given the name Grittersaurus following a competition involving local primary school pupils.

    A panel of judges decided the group effort by pupils at Asfordby Hill Primary School was the best of the 290 entries they received. Other suggestions included Sir Grits A Lot and Salty McGrit Flinger.
