A woman who had an informal book exchange stolen from her drive has said she has had a "fabulous response" to its replacement.
Set up in May to help people through lockdown, Sherree Westley, from Glenfield, said the box of swaps had become a local feature.
But on Tuesday evening all the books and their container vanished.
However Ms Westley was undeterred and put out a new selection housing in an old drawer.
She said: "It's had a fabulous response! I put out the replacement yesterday with five books to start it off - it's now full again. Glenfield has been so supportive.
"I've also received lots of offers of replacement books."

Crime victims are being "badly let down" by a major backlog in court cases, the shadow justice secretary has said.
Speaking during a visit to Nottingham, David Lammy said the government "urgently" needed to set up a Nightingale court in the East Midlands to help clear a backlog of about 41,000 crown court cases.
The government currently has plans for 10 Nightingale courts, but the nearest to Nottingham are in Leeds and Peterborough.
Mr Lammy, a former barrister and Labour MP for Tottenham, said: "If you have experienced serious crime, a serious sexual offence, murder or manslaughter or serious robbery, you want to see justice delivered, and you want it delivered in a speedy way.
"You certainly don't want a situation in which the delays are so extensive that evidence is lost or not as good, memories are forgotten, and someone gets off.
"That's why the backlog that's mounting is worrying. It's why the government needs to bring forward, rapidly, Nightingale courts, and there isn't one in this region.
"Nottingham also takes cases from the Derby area, Lincoln, so if you're not bringing forward some of the cases that are happening in this city, and you're having to take cases from other places, plus you've got local courts like Mansfield that are closed, you can see there's going to be a lot of pressure building up in the system."
The Ministry of Justice has been approached for comment.

Derby and Nottinghamshire have both seen an upswing in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases.
There were 20 new cases in Derby in the week up to 1 August - up from seven in the previous week.
Nottingham city has 26 new cases in the week to 30 July - up from 17 - while Nottinghamshire has seen 49 new cases in the same period, up from 36 the previous week.
Derby's director of public health Robyn Dewis said: "Because the numbers currently are fortunately very small, we do expect there to be considerable variation week-to-week.
"Currently we're in the summer months and we're experiencing lower rates of the virus but we do expect as we go into the autumn and definitely into the winter to see rates increase."
Alison Challenger, Nottingham's director of public health, said people should remain vigilant ahead of children returning to school next month.

An artist whose holiday to Cornwall was cancelled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic has recreated his holiday on canvas.
Rod Shaw, from Loughborough, was due to travel to the south west earlier this year, but his trip was cancelled when the nationwide lockdown came into force in March.
After finding out he would be forced to have a staycation, he decided to paint his holiday from photos taken from previous years.
Some of the scenes are from the artist's favourite part of Cornwall, the Lizard Peninsula.
He has now auctioned the paintings he created for mental health charity Mind.
The artist said: "I was really only doing it for my own amusement.
"I was posting them on WhatsApp to the family and a few friends but I was asked if they were for sale.
"The money raised wasn't quite in the league of Captain Tom, but we've raised £1,500 which is a very pleasing amount."
