    A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder, external after a man died in Killamarsh.

    Ricky Collins, 31, died in hospital after being found injured near the junction of Westthorpe Road and Upperthorpe Road at about 22:00 on Monday.

    It followed reports of a disturbance at a nearby house.

    A 43-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

    Derbyshire Police said both of those detained are from the Sheffield area and remain in police custody.

    The force said it was believed to be an isolated incident and witnesses have been urged to get in touch.

    Two men and a woman have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Leicester.

    Officers were called to Gallowtree Gate at 15:30 GMT on 23 March where the victim was found with stab wounds.

    He was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries but he has since been discharged.

    On Tuesday a 20-year-old man from Leicester was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

    A 55-year-old man and a woman, 60, were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender on Wednesday.

    Last week a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, but has since been released without charge.

    A 16-year-old girl has been charged with three counts of assaulting an emergency worker after police were called to a gathering in Leicester.

    Large crowds gathered in Bede Park on Tuesday evening and officers were called following reports of antisocial behaviour.

    The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested in the park.

    She has been released on bail and is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court on 16 April, Leicestershire Police said.

    A second 16-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress and was dealt with by way of a community resolution.

    Four people have been charged in connection with a street fight where a woman in her 70s was punched and a man was hit by a car.

    It happened on Averton Square in Wollaton, Nottingham, at about 15:20 on Sunday.

    Police said the woman was taken to hospital and needed treatment for a fractured eye socket, fractured nose, fractured jaw and 11 stitches to her lip and head.

    A man, 31, was charged with possession of a bladed article and a 22-year-old man was charged with GBH, battery and possession of an offensive weapon.

    Another man, 21, was charged with attempted wounding with intent to cause GBH. All three were also charged with affray, along with a 39-year-old man.

    Nottinghamshire Police said they appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court earlier.

    A 20-year-old woman has been released on bail.

    A man who breached a restraining order by repeatedly harassing a woman has been jailed.

    In January 2019 Robert Carlin, 40, was ordered to have no further contact with his victim.

    However, Nottinghamshire Police said he continued to send her, and her work colleagues, text messages, emails and social media messages.

    Police said he even created a fake Facebook profile in the woman’s maiden name where he made numerous slanderous comments about her and her colleagues.

    Carlin, of Kirkby Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, admitted to charges of harassment and breaching a restraining order.

    He appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday and was jailed for a total of 16 months.

    A road in Killamarsh has been closed following a serious assault last night.

    Derbyshire Police said a man was found injured near the junction of Westthorpe Road and Upperthorpe Road following reports of a disturbance at a house.

    Part of Westthorpe Road remains closed as police inquiries continue.

    A woman in her 70s was taken to hospital after she was punched during a street fight where people were armed with baseball bats and metal poles.

    Nottinghamshire Police said a man was also hit by a car during the confrontation that led to five people being arrested.

    It happened on Averton Square in Wollaton, Nottingham, at about 15:20 yesterday.

    Police said the assaulted woman fell to the pavement but her injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening.

    Det Insp Danny Johnstone, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Baseball bats and metal poles were used in the fight and several people suffered injuries.

    "Four men aged 39, 31, 22 and 21 years old were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder, meanwhile a 20-year-old woman was also detained. All five people remain in police custody."
