Two lanes of the M1 southbound have been closed due to a vehicle fire.
Highways England said the lanes are closed between Trowell services in Nottinghamshire to junction 25 for Nottingham and Derby.
There are 30-minute delays on the approach to the fire, with five miles of queues back to junction 26, the authority added.
