Sir Paul Smith returned to home soil to visit a new exhibition at Nottingham Castle dedicated to the world-famous designer.
The castle's “Hello, My Name is Paul Smith” exhibition includes more than 1,500 objects, many of which are from his personal collection and reflect his interests and personality.
"The idea of the exhibition was always to be helpful to young people who are starting out, not necessarily in fashion, but in any form of creative career," said Sir Paul, who was born in Beeston.
Ted Cantle CBE, Chair of the Nottingham Castle Trust board, said it was a "real privilege" to welcome the designer and added: "It’s been a day that makes you proud to be associated with the city.”
Sir Paul hosted two events where he passed on advice to art and design students from Nottingham Trent University, and met a Brownies group from Chilwell.
