    The M1 southbound has reopened between junctions 25 and 24 after being closed earlier due to a crash.

    Highways England said all lanes were running again but there were queues back to junction 26.

    A stretch of the M1 southbound has been closed following a crash during rush hour.

    Leicestershire Police said the road was closed between junctions 25 for Nottingham and 24 for East Midlands Airport at 08:22 BST.

    Highways England said the ambulance service was also in attendance and it was working to reopen one of the four lanes as soon as possible, with a diversion currently in place.

    A 29-year-old driver has died after crashing into a wall in Heanor, Derbyshire.

    The man's BMW collided with a wall in Heanor Gate Road at 18:35 BST on Saturday. He died at the scene.
