Tink jumped on top of Claire Hopkinson who was alseep in bed when an electrical fault sparked a fire at a neighbouring property in Shrewsbury. The family managed to get out of the house safely but Tink was overcome by the smoke and had to be revived by firefighters using a tiny oxygen mask. "Without Tink we wouldn't be here today," said Mrs Hopkinson.

An MEP for the West Midlands, and Dudley councillor, has made the shortlist of six to become leader of UKIP.
Bill Etheridge, who's 46, has said UKIP should stick by its "core principles and values" and not be "distracted by negative influences".
He has called for major reform of the penal system, including restricting prisoners' privileges, banning visits during the first six months of a sentence and an automatic 10-year increase in sentence for anyone attacking a prison officer.
He also backs far-reaching changes to the tax system, including a 50% cut in alcohol and tobacco duty, replacing VAT with a local sales tax and gradually merging national insurance and income taxes.

Reports of hate crime to West Mercia Police have risen by about 40% in a year.
BBC Hereford & Worcester has seen figures comparing the number of times people who came forward to the police in June 2015 to the same month a year later.
The biggest increase was in race hate crime - incidents against people's gender, sexuality and faith also went up.
