    Reporter, BBC Shropshire

The organisers of Shrewsbury Folk Festival say this year's event will be the last to feature blacked-up morris dancers.

It was originally used as a way of disguising dancers so they couldn't be recognised, folk festival organisers say.

However, they add that they must change with the times and will not book them in the future.

We are caught in the middle. We've been contacted by an organisation that has asked us not to book them and we've been contacted by people who are upset because we are not booking them."
