    The Chief Executive of Shropshire Council, Clive Wright, says plans to reorganise healthcare in the county are being rushed through.

    He's also worried there isn't enough money to carry out the planned changes, which involve treating more patients in the community.

    A series of events in Oswestry, designed to create the festive spirit in the run-up to Christmas, drew hundreds of people to the town, the organisers have said.

    There were three events in all - a Christmas procession and the Music Live event at the weekend and then the light switch-on before that.

    Town clerk David Preston said they created a "fantastic feel about the place" and shared these photos with us.

    The Shrewsbury Town manager Paul Hurst says he will be a nervous viewer when the FA Cup third round draw is made on BBC Two this evening.

    His side are still in the hat after their 0-0 draw with Fleetwood at the weekend.

    Jeremy Corbyn's childhood home, just outside Newport, is described by estate agents Savills, external as "an enchanting period farmhouse, thought to have been built in the 1680s".

    The five-bedroom house is up for sale with a guide price of £650,000 and has four reception rooms, exposed timber beams, open fireplaces and an acre of land.

    Savills says the property was once part of the Duke of Sutherland's estate, but there is very little written about its history.

    As a boy, Mr Corbyn went to the fee-paying preparatory school, Castle House, in Newport, before going on to study at Adams Grammar School.

    People are being urged not to block streets with their cars, after fire engines were unable to get down a road in Shrewsbury on Saturday because of parked vehicles.

    On this occasion, they were responding to a smell of burning which turned out to be a minor electrical fault, but Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service says it is a regular problem and poses real danger.

    The Severn Valley Railway has raised £500,000 in just one month, after putting shares up for sale., external

    It is hoping to sell 2.5 million of the £1 shares to raise money for a major revamp of its Bridgnorth station and the shares will remain on sale for another 11 months.
