    The housing association responsible for three bungalows damaged by a fire early this morning says it has found temporary accommodation for the tenants.

    Earlier this afternoon a woman's body was found in one of the bungalows.

    Police say the cause doesn't appear suspicious at this stage.

    When archaeologists found the remains of a pig and other animals buried beside the Greek Orthodox church in Much Wenlock, they were pleased with what they'd uncovered.

    But it now appears the site could have been much more significant.

    A water main replacement in north Shropshire has been completed ahead of schedule. 

    Severn Trent says Moreton Street in Prees will fully reopen by tomorrow, nearly a week earlier than planned.

    Engineers have been replacing a 12in (30cm) water main which had burst a number of times in recent years.

    The police have now confirmed a woman's body has been found in one of the bungalows which caught fire in Bucknell this morning.

    Formal identification is yet to take place, but they say the body is believed to be that of the female owner of the house.

    The coroner has been informed.

    They could clinch the league title tomorrow, if Milton Keynes Lightning fail to win their match, and are guaranteed the trophy if they win both matches against the Bees this weekend.

    It's quite the puzzle, Weston Park's own website, external , according to its address, is in Shropshire with a Telford postcode.  

    Its main phone number is also a Telford area code.

    Looking on this Shropshire Council boundary map, external , it would seem Weston Park is half inside the boundary and half outside. 

    Everything to the left of the blue line is within Shropshire's boundary.

    So I guess in answer to your question, it is both.

  15. More arrests following Shrewsbury drugs raidpublished at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2017

    Police now say four people have been arrested after a drugs raid by armed police in Shrewsbury. 

    Two men from the town and another from Liverpool, plus a woman, were detained on suspicion of intending to supply drugs.

    Armed officers closed Castle Gates during the raid last night, after which searches were carried out of the surrounding area.

    AFC Telford United and Shrewsbury Town don't regularly trade players, so Callum Burton's loan move down the M54 has come as a bit of a surprise.

    And Telford have made a point of publicly thanking their neighbours, after losing their goalkeeper Matt Urwin to injury.

  17. Bungalows fire not thought to be suspiciouspublished at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2017

    The fire which damaged three bungalows in Bucknell early this morning is not believed to be suspicious, the police say.

    A woman remains unaccounted for after the fire and three people were treated for the effects of breathing in smoke.

    Police and the fire service have now started their investigation into the cause of the fire.

  18. Glass sculpture at hospital damaged by Storm Dorispublished at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2017

    A glass sculpture outside the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital has been damaged by yesterday's storms.

    It was one of two donated by sculptor Tony Roberts following treatment for a serious illness in 2013.

    It's made up of two glass pillars engraved with words from conversations between patients and their loved ones.

    The damage, outside a counselling centre for people diagnosed with cancer, was discovered this morning.

    Mr Roberts says he will try to make a replacement.
