A centre for recovering drug addicts and alcoholics in Newcastle-under-Lyme will close in a few weeks due to funding shortfall.
Managers at BAC O'Connor says it has lost half of its funding from Staffordshire County Council's Better Care Fund.
People who have been treated at the centre have told BBC Radio Stoke they "owe their lives to the centre" and can't believe it may shut.
More than 30,000 people have signed a petition, external opposing the cuts to drugs and alcohol services in Staffordshire.
The county council says it was left with £15m less in its own budget and had no choice but to review the funding.
