More than 100 people gathered outside the Town Hall to remember servicemen and women killed in battle. Passers-by, people on the way to the shops, a woman pushing a pram stopped in their tracks by the echo of silence in the town, still.
It felt a poignant moment and a reminder that many people who fought in WWI and WWII are no longer alive.
