A woman has needed hospital treatment for a severe bite after being attacked by a dog., external
Police say the 29-year-old was walking with her own dog on a field near Billy Buns Lane, Wombourne, Staffordshire, on Friday evening, when it happened.
They say she and her pet were both attacked by the other dog, thought to be a cross-breed bull mastiff.
Officers say the dog's owner left without handing over any details.
All lanes have now reopened on the M6 , externalafter a lorry came off the the M6 southbound in Staffordshire near J13.
The fire service had to stabilise the vehicle before paramedics could treat the driver, who's been taken to hospital., external
Highways England says all lanes are now open at J13, near Stafford, but the exit slip road is still shut for barrier repairs.
Traffic is delayed back to J15.

A council chief executive who was suspended, external after a row over voting in last year's general election has left the authority "by mutual consent".
Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council says John Sellgren, who was the acting returning officer at the time of the 2017 general election, is no longer in the post after seven years. , external

A lorry driver's been taken to hospital after his vehicle came off the M6 in Staffordshire and hit trees on the embankment.
The ambulance service says crews were called to J13 southbound, near Stafford, at around 02:30 and had to wait while firefighters stabilised the vehicle., external
It says the 63-year-old man was taken to hospital with a head injury.
Highways England is still working to clear the area after oil was spilled on to the motorway and says lanes one and two are still shut for recovery work., external

An ageing swimming pool has led to a council overspending on its leisure budget by tens of thousands of pounds.
Boiler replacement and temporary closures of the pool at Alleyne’s Sports Centre, Stone, Staffordshire, has cost Stafford Borough Council £53,000, its latest figures revealed.
At its latest meeting, the authority's cabinet heard the pool, which is part of Alleyne's Academy, was going to be shut by the end of June due to costs.
But the council stepped in to keep it open and it says it will nurse it through the next few months until a new leisure centre opens on Westbridge Park in the town next spring.
There's about nine miles of queuing traffic on the M6 southbound up to J13, in Staffordshire where an operation is under way to recover a lorry that left the carriageway.
Queues are also forming on the northbound side, opposite the scene, as people slow down to take a look.
Two lanes remain closed.
Adam Peaty is going for his fourth gold today at the European Championships in Glasgow.
The Uttoxeter swimmer set a new championship record to retain the 50m breaststroke title and win his third gold medal on Wednesday.
Peaty also won the 100m breaststroke and 4x100m mixed medley in Glasgow.

A lorry that left the southbound carriageway of the M6 in Staffordshire, at J13, has damaged an overhead bridge and more than 150m of the nearside barrier, Highways England says.
Two lanes and the entry slip road remains closed, within the junction, for a recovery and clean-up operation.
There are currently delays of about an hour in the area.

Tens of thousands of powerful prescription painkillers , externalhave been found in a car pulled over in Stoke-on-Trent.
Staffordshire Police says it was spotted being driven erratically yesterday on the A50 near the Blurton turn-off.
When it was stopped, officers found 200,000 Tramadol tablets and arrested the driver on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.

Britain's Adam Peaty set a new championship record to retain the 50m breaststroke title and win his third gold medal at the European Championships in Glasgow.
The 23-year-old from Uttoxeter clocked 26.09 seconds to beat Italy's Fabio Scozzoli and Slovenia's Peter John Stevens.
Peaty, who has won 11 European titles, lowered his record in each of his three races in the event in Glasgow.
World record holder Peaty's victory means he becomes the most successful British swimmer in European competition - overtaking Fran Halsall's tally of 10 gold medals.
Volunteers say the scheme in Cannock has provided clothes for dozens of children.

Police say they first found 200 plants at a house on Clive Street, Tunstall, and then 72 at a building on Buccleuch Road, Normacot.
So far, the force says officers have not made any arrests.

Gardeners and farmers may be looking forward to the forecast rain, set to hit the West Midlands later this week, but it may be bad news for fish.
The Environment Agency's been warning fisheries across Staffordshire and Warwickshire, external that the change in weather could lead to a rise in algae, effectively "choking" the fish.
They say the cooler, wetter weather can cause algae to bloom, giving off toxins and causing oxygen levels in waterways to drop.
