Premier League football should only restart once it’s safe to do so, according to Brighton and Hove Albion’s chief executive.
Speaking to BBC Radio Sussex, Paul Barber outlined the three stages to the game restarting after coronavirus brought it to a stop in March.
First will be players training in small groups with no contact.
That will be followed by training in larger groups, and finally a return to playing competitive matches.
All the players would be tested for Covid-19 twice a week.
Quote MessageAt this stage we haven’t seen what stage two looks like, let alone stage three. We’ve got to make sure we’re entirely comfortable with each stage because ultimately the legal responsibility lies with the directors of the club”.
