Police forced their way into the flat and found the body of a woman, thought to be in her thirties.

Kent Police says the woman's death is being treated as unexplained.

No formal identification has yet taken place and a post-mortem examination is due to take place later this week.

Nearly 4,000 people have signed a petition calling for the removal of four seats which each have four arm rests making it impossible for rough sleepers to lie down on them.

The company says it chose the benches for their "ease of use and their sturdiness" and didn't intend to restrict their use.

It now plans to have the benches replaced.

Water companies in the South East say they're aiming to have all customers' supplies restored by this morning after burst pipes have caused people to be cut off.

South East Water says engineers have been working through the night in the Rotherfield and Crowborough areas where they've identified a large number of small leaks.

The firm says water will start to return once repairs are complete.

People in Hastings, Crawley and Crowborough have been forced to visit water bottle stations after spending more than four days without a supply.

  15. Xanax warning after six teens taken to hospitalpublished at 06:40 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2018

    Xanax

Six teenagers from Brighton and Hove have been hospitalised in a week after taking the tranquiliser Xanax.

The prescription drug isn't readily available in the UK but is widely prescribed in the US to treat anxiety.

It's about 20 times stronger than Valium and if mixed with alcohol there's a risk of overdose.

City health officials say they believe it's being bought over the internet and from local dealers.

Earlier this week Public Health England warned users they were "dicing with death".

Last month BBC South East revealed that Xanax was being sold illegally to children on social media sites.

  16. Brighton i360 claims "misleading" says watchdogpublished at 06:19 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2018

    Bob Dale
    BBC Live reporter

Brighton's i360 can no longer describe itself as the world's tallest moving observation tower, advertising watchdogs have ruled.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) said the claim was misleading because there are several other towers with moving platforms which are taller.

Bosses at the i360 said its claim was based on the definition of "measuring a specified distance from top to bottom".

The attraction still holds the record for the most slender tower.

    Brighton i360

The ASA ruled that, while the observation deck does move a greater distance from the ground than towers which have decks which do not start at ground level, other towers do still rise higher.

Brighton i360 said the "tallest moving observation tower" referred to the distance from which the pod travelled - from ground level to 452ft (138m) - a greater vertical distance than any other moving observation tower.

It added there was no evidence any consumer had been misled by the claim.

    Quote Message

"Because we did not consider the British Airways i360 was taller than other observation towers in the way that consumers would understand it, we therefore concluded the ad was misleading."

Ruling by the Advertising Standards Authority

    Quote Message

While the ASA ruling was disappointing it does not change our position as a world-class attraction which is giving inspiration and delight to hundreds of thousands of people every year."
