The RSPB is asking people to keep an eye out for trapped seabirds on the Newcastle and Gateshead quaysides.

A rape crisis charity is appealing for help after the Government's decision not to reconsider its funding cut.
In March, it rejected EVA Women’s Aid latest bid for central government funding.
The charity provides sexual violence support services and counselling to women and young people across Teesside.

Youngsters from Northumberland will be releasing salmon they have hatched at their school into the River Tyne today.
The schoolchildren from Adderlane Academy, in Prudhoe, have been taking part in the Salmon in the Classroom Project run by Tyne Rivers Trust.
Last month the trust set up a tank of salmon eggs in the school hall.
The pupils have helped to look after the eggs whilst learning all about North Atlantic salmon.

A fire engine responding to an emergency overturned in Billingham last night.
The vehicle from Stockton Community Fire Station was one of five engines responding to an incident in Middlesbrough when it flipped on to its side on the roundabout at Billingham Bottoms at 21:00.
Three firefighters were injured and were treated at University Hospital of North Tees. No other vehicles were involved.
Cleveland Fire Brigade said an internal inquiry has started to determine the cause of the accident.

Bike hire firm Mobike is pulling out of Newcastle and Gateshead in order to focus on its operations in London.
The company, which has been in Newcastle since 2017, will be moving its bikes out of Tyneside at the beginning of May.
It comes after months of speculation over the cycle sharing service’s future in the region, amid concerns about vandalism with many bikes seen dumped in the River Tyne or abandoned elsewhere.
Jan Van der Ven, general manager of Mobike Western Europe said the firm will now focus on its London, Oxford and Cambridge schemes.
He said it was "hopefully not a final farewell".
"We plan to remain engaged with the city councils of Newcastle and Gateshead, as well as the local business community, and we will remain open to revisit our decision in future,” he said.
More than 100 nurses are due to start work in the North East after being recruited from the Philippines.
It was the fifth overseas recruitment campaign by South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust and more than 200 nurses from the country are already working in the region.
The first of the 140 latest recruits are due to arrive later in the year and will work in a medical and surgical departments at South Tyneside District Hospital, Sunderland Royal Hospital and Sunderland Eye Infirmary and in the community in South Tyneside, Sunderland and Gateshead.
Melanie Johnson, executive director of nursing, midwifery and Allied Health Professionals for the trust, said: "Our aim is always to recruit the very best and ensure we have the right person with the right skills in the right place at the right time.
"Our overseas recruitment drives are essential to this process, along with our regular, local recruitment events where we draw on the rich seam of nursing talent in the North East.”
