Today saw the DUP's first openly-gay woman elected in Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
Alison Bennington made it through on the sixth count.
Some members of the party have aired grievances about her selection, however the party leadership has said it will not mark a change in their stance on same sex marriage.
