    Former PUP councillor Julie-Anne Corr Johnston has lost her seat in the Oldpark District Electoral Area of Belfast.

    She got 575 first preferences votes - a drop from 773 in 2014.

    She was eliminated on the sixth count by two votes to the Alliance Party’s Jack Armstrong.

    Newly elected DUP Councillor Kyle Black tells BBC News NI he is "ecstatic" to have been elected.

    He said: "Out of absolutely devastating circumstance that will impact out lives forever, I wanted to try and do something positive - to give back to the community."

    Mr Black's father, a prison officer, was murdered in 2012.

    Raymond McCartney, MLA, tells BBC News NI his party expect to lose a number of seats in Derry City and Strabane District Council.

    Sinn Féin has seen a significant decrease in vote in four of the councils seven District Electoral Areas.

    Former Mayor Maolíosa McHugh looks set to lose his seat.

    Mr McCartney says the party fought a "strong" campaign but he admitted that no Stormont was an issue on the doorsteps.

    He added that would inform the party’s position going into multi-party talks next week.

    Kyle Black, the son of murdered prison officer, David Black, has just been elected to Carntogher in Mid Ulster.

    David Black was 52-years-old when he was shot on the M1 as he drove to work in November 2012.

    Sinn Féin has lost a seat to People Before Profit in the Collin area.

    The Collin District Electoral Area (DEA) has now been filled, after SDLP’s Brian Heading held on to his seat.

    The SDLP received transfers from Aontú.

    People Before Profit’s Michael Collins has taken a seat here for the party for the first time.

    Sinn Féin previously had five seats here - it was a stronghold for them, but the party has lost Charlene O’Hara after she was excluded.
