UKIP's Paul Nuttall says Labour looks to have held the seat, but predicts his party has increased its vote share. Mr Nuttall also complains about an increase in postal votes, saying this gives an advantage to the incumbent candidate.
Labour's shadow minister Jon Ashworth says it looks like a "tremendous result" for his party in Oldham West and Royton and pays tribute to its candidate, Jim McMahon.

Education Secretary Nicky Morgan is challenged over David Cameron's comments on the eve of Wednesday night's vote.
The PM called on his MPs not to side with Jeremy Corbyn and others he labelled "a bunch of terrorist sympathisers". He faced repeated calls to apologise during the debate, but declined to do so.
A woman in the audience who opposes action asks Ms Morgan "do I look like a terrorist sympathiser to you?"
"No, but Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell do," replies the education secretary, citing previous comments by the duo about the IRA and Hezbollah.
Diane Abbott describes this as "old smears".

The Question Time panel discussed shadow foreign secretary Hilary Benn's closing speech backing air strikes. It was applauded by some MPs, which Jill Kirby feels was inappropriate. Nicky Morgan says it was "extraordinary", while Diane Abbott says it was "great" but "wrong". Judge for yourself below:

Green MP Caroline Lucas questions the government's claims about the scale of ground forces available to fight IS in Syria. "In a sense, they are just in David Cameron's head," she says.
Even if they do exist, she says, it is "completely unsubstantiated" to say they will give up fighting President Assad to focus on IS.
