  3. Video feedpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 13 July 2014

We are continuing to struggle with a low mobile signal in Inveraray. Apologies if you have been frustrated with the large gaps in the video today.

The baton relay live streaming system compresses the video signal, then uses the equivalent of eight smartphones to spread this data - sending it to as many mobile phone networks as it can find.

This gives the data the best possible chance of making it back to the BBC. Unfortunately there are times when there just aren't enough mobile connections on enough networks to let us reconstruct the video to stream to the web.

We'll keep you updated using the text commentary, and post pictures of the action as soon as we get them.

  4. 'Very proud'published at 16:12 British Summer Time 13 July 2014

Stuart emailed to express his pride for baton bearer number 37, William Young.

"All our family are very proud to see our big brother in his kilt, holding the baton aloft.

"A well-deserved honour for one who has dedicated his life to sport for so many years" he added.
