    Today's baton bearer number 007 was Mary Jane Rodger.

    She struck her best special agent pose at the start of her run through Skelmorlie, as she was accompanied by a quick blast of Monty Norman's iconic James Bond music.

    John Gilmour was today's second baton bearer when he had the honour in Skelmorie early this morning.

    Since recovering from a brain haemorrhage in 2010 which left him hospitalised for over a month, he has worked tirelessly to raise money for charities saying that he has "been given another chance at life".

    The relay is proving to be a real family affair for all of the baton bearers. Marie Malley sent us in this picture of her 13-year-old son Connor posing for a family photo after his run with the baton in Kilmacolm yesterday. Even their family dog Gus got in on the act.

    Love was in the air during yesterday's relay as one of the baton bearers passed another precious object to the next runner. An engagement ring!

    David McSkimming proposed to partner and fellow relay runner Susan Kirkpatrick as he passed her the baton in Greenock.

    He presented her with a ring and Susan said yes.

    Officers warmed up with their now traditional "penguin dance" before setting off with today's first baton bearer Penelope Hof.

    Welcome to day 32 of the Queen's Baton Relay in Scotland. Today it's an early start for the baton as the relay travels through North Ayrshire.

    The relay will start at Skelmorlie before moving through Largs, Millport and Kilbirnie before visiting Irvine and finally finishing at Ardrossan.
