    That's all for the Queen's Baton Relay live page for today.

    We witnessed big crowds as day 33 ended in Cowan Park in Barrhead.

    And a short while ago Clyde was snapped back stage preparing for the evening celebrations.

    Celebrities, athletes and local heroes all had a moment with the baton in East Renfrewshire.

    Today's highlights included actor and entertainer John Barrowman giving fellow baton bearer Alison Young a hug and shouting "Scotland" when he started his stint in the relay.

    Scottish badminton Commonwealth medallist and Olympian Susan Egelstaff carried the baton in Giffnock.

    Triple Olympian Lee McConnell also had the honour of taking part in the relay in Clarkston.

    We had emails from Canada, South Africa and Australia as the Queen's Baton Relay continued to attract an international audience.

    The baton is on the final leg of its journey in East Renfrewshire. Amy Clark is the final baton bearer in Newton Mearns.

    Three lucky people will have the honour of continuing the relay when it returns to Barrhead in a short while.

    They are Mohammad Ashraf, Callum McInnes and Mhairi High.

    The people who nominated 84 year-old Joan say she "sets a wonderful example to the young people of today".

    She still works two days a week, keeps fit at the Newlands Tennis Club and is a founding member of Subscribe Rambling Club.

    He emailed to say: "It's been nearly 40 years since I left Giffnock and moved to South Africa with my parents.

    "Awesome to see the Queen's Baton going through the old neighbourhood. Great memories.
