    Labour MSP Kezia Dugdale brings up the issue of the hotline for members to raise concerns only being available between nine and five.

    Mr Carlaw says "We recognise the hotline is only available during certain hours, and that those using it may need to find a secure to use it.

    Tory MSP and SPCB member Jackson Carlaw says a parliamentary board will consider sexual harassment.

    Emma Ritch from Engender will be providing advice to the board and their will be a confidential survey.

    Ms Lennon says reporting sexual assault or harassment is never easy.

    The Labour MSP says she welcomes the steps being taken by the Scottish Parliament.

    Ms Lennon says last week she said nothing short of an independent review would do.

    She says she is a big fan of Emma Ritch but she says the SPCB must make it clear this is independent from MSPs.

    A Labour MSP said on Sunday she was sexually assaulted by a senior male colleague at a party.

    Monica Lennon told the Sunday Mail, external that she was groped at a social event in 2013 in front of several witnesses.

    She said she made an initial complaint to Scottish Labour but decided not to progress it because she felt she would not be believed.

    Labour said it was working to improve the way it deals with sexual harassment complaints and safeguarding issues.

    Ms Lennon, 36, told the paper: "It happened at a Labour Party social event in 2013, before I was an MSP. It was a private function, a room full of people.

    SNP MSP Gordon Macdonald is stepping down from Holyrood's SPCB management group.

    It is because Mr Macdonad is recovering from an operation, but it does provide an opening to get a female MSP on the all-male board

    This follows Kezia Dugdale's call for a gender-balanced group can be installed.

    The parliament has been instituting a range of measures to tackle concerns about sexual harassment, including a dedicated phone line and a survey.

    But former Labour leader Kezia Dugdale said the parliament "simply cannot take a lead" on equality issues with only men on the corporate body group.

    Each party nominates an MSP to join the management group at the start of term.

    Holyrood's standards committee is to hold an inquiry in light of concerns about sexual harassment

    Holyrood's standards committee has agreed to launch an inquiry into how the parliament deals with reports of sexual harassment.

    In light of recent concerns about harassment and inappropriate behaviour, the committee is to examine procedures, rules and support for victims.

    MSPs will take evidence from equalities groups, legal experts and unions and look at how other parliaments operate.

    Convener Clare Adamson said this was an "important and detailed bit of work".

    The inquiry will examine reports of sexual harassment at the parliament, and how they are dealt with. It will look at how those making reports are supported, and the processes and rules relating to such matters.

    The precise remit of the inquiry and the witnesses it will hear from is yet to be decided.

    Holyrood's Presiding Officer Ken Macintosh had asked the committee to examine the code of conduct for MSPs, while committee member Daniel Johnson had sought support for an inquiry into how victims are supported.
