    Police dealing with an incident

    A police officer in Edinburgh was treated for burns after being injured by a firework on Bonfire night.

    Police and fire crews attended a number of disturbances in Muirhouse and Craigentinny on Sunday.

    The police said fireworks were being set off with no regard for public safety and there was also reported damage to cars.

    The female officer who was hurt has serious, but not life threatening injuries.

    Conservative MSP Liam Kerr asks, in light of reports of crews being attacked when dealing with bonfires over the weekend, what action the Scottish government is taking to ensure the safety of emergency responders.

    The first minister says: "None of us should ever tolerate attacks on firefighters or any of the emergency services."

    Ms Sturgeon says one police officer suffered burns on bonfire night having had a firework thrown in her face and the first minister wishes that officer a speedy recovery.

    Mr Kerr says last weekend emergency services were subjected to mindless violence and calls for data on these incidents to be collated.

    Ms Sturgeon says a significant number of officers were deployed on bonfire night than on a normal evening and says work is underway on collating data.

    Scottish fire crews were targeted on bonfire night in incidents that fire chiefs have called "completely unacceptable".

    Crews had missiles thrown at them at 11 events as they tried to fight fires.

    They responded to about 330 incidents on Guy Fawkes night between 17:00 and 22:00 while taking more than 800 calls in that time.

    Lewis Ramsay, assistant chief officer of Scottish Fire and Rescue, warned that offenders would be tracked down.

    Private equity firm Blackstone avoided tens of millions of pounds in UK taxes on property deals in Glasgow and London, the Paradise Papers show.

    The documents reveal it used offshore companies to purchase and operate the St Enoch Shopping Centre in Glasgow and Chiswick Business Park in London.

    The papers show how accountancy firms mapped out strategies to minimise or avoid every significant tax.

    Blackstone said its investments were "wholly compliant with UK tax laws".

    Tory MSP Murdo Fraser accepts more needs to be done on tax evasion and avoidance, but says the UK's tax gap is among the lowest in the world

    Mr Fraser asks if the first minister regrets paying £10m to Amazon.

    The first minister says nearly £7bn is lost to public services because of tax avoidance and tax evasion.

    She calls on all companies, including Amazon, to pay the tax they are due and for the UK government to act on the issue.

    The first minister says the powers around tax avoidance and evasion lie at Westminster.

    Three stars of hit BBC sitcom Mrs Brown's Boys diverted more than £2m into an offshore tax-avoidance scheme, Paradise Papers documents show.

    Patrick Houlihan and Martin and Fiona Delany transferred their fees into companies in Mauritius and sent money back as loans.

    Similar tax avoidance schemes have been subject to investigation and challenges by HMRC in recent years.

    SNP MSP Christine Grahame asks the first minister what measures the government can put in place to curtail tax avoidance.

    Ms Sturgeon says the Scottish government only has full power over two taxes.

    The first minister says the finance secretary has written to the chancellor calling for urgent action to be taken about tax avoidance.

    Ms Grahame raises the issue of the Paradise Papers and actors in BBC's Mrs Brown's Boys and says they should bar themselves from using the NHS and says it is disgusting.

    Scottish Lib Dem leader Willie Rennie pays tribute to a police officer who was stabbed at Edinburgh College earlier this week.

    He goes on to raise the Elizabeth Bowe case, and says he has repeatedly highlighted problems with emergency call handling in recent years.

    Mr Rennie says PIRC have called for additional training at the police's Bilston Glen centre.

    Ms Sturgeon joins Mr Rennie in expressing condolences to the stabbed police officer.

    The first minister says she will get the justice secretary to write to Mr Rennie about training of emergency call handlers at Bilston Glen.
