She said: "We had a lucky escape as we were standing exactly where the tree fell and had only just moved when we heard an almighty crack and it fell on to the van.
"Still cannot believe how close it was for the driver and us, as he had just jumped into the cab to move the vehicle back, his wife was still in the front of the van but thankfully everyone was unharmed. Had a big shock obviously and shaken."

Rhondda Cynon Taf council has warned motorists parking on main routes to park sensibly so gritters can get through.
It made a Twitter plea, external asking people to avoid double parking and parking in areas where the vehicles cannot pass easily.
Meanwhile, in Carmarthenshire Cllr Hazel Evans, said crews would be out until midnight treating as many of the primary routes as possible.
She said: "Road surface temperatures are expected to fall well below freezing overnight, therefore we are expecting icy conditions on Monday morning.
"Whilst we aim to treat as many routes as possible, we advise drivers to take particular care."

Major roads are shut, main rail routes are blocked, homes are threatened with flooding and police have advised people not to travel unless necessary as heavy snow hits parts of Wales.
But it's not all doom and gloom as many have taken the opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy the white stuff on sleds.
Heavy snowfall in Wales causing traffic problems
The Met Office has issued a yellow "be aware" warning for ice from 04:00 until 11:00 on Monday.
It said some injuries were likely from slips and falls on icy surfaces as well as icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
The chief forecaster's said: "Where snow has fallen through Sunday icy stretches are likely to form quite widely with some temporary melting of snow and then refreezing overnight.
"Some further icy stretches are likely in parts of south Wales and southwest England where roads remain wet from overnight rain."

The Welsh Ambulance Service's non-emergency transport service has said it will prioritise dialysis patients due to go for treatment in the next 24 hours.
It said it would "make every effort" to get other patients to their appointments as planned, but would contact people in advance if that had to change.
999 services are operating as normal but it advised people to call only in a life-threatening emergency.
I don't think Dee Marshall from Cefn Gorwydd, near Sennybridge, will be sitting down for BBQ any time soon!

Snow and wet weather has brought flooding to areas across Wales, including Llancarfan in Vale of Glamorgan.
The car park of the village's Fox and Hounds pub was under water earlier today when the river burst its banks but much of the water there has since subsided.
