Nurse Helen Evans spent an hour walking through the snow to reach University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff this morning.
She said a lot of staff made the trek in to keep the hospital running, with patients still coming in to be seen.
"We had an 85-year-old man walk in from Fairwater for an appointment," she said.
"That's about a three mile walk. Thankfully another patient gave him a lift home."
North Wales Police wants to set people straight after gossip seems to have spread about bridges being closed.
