    One homeless shelter in Cardiff saw 44 rough sleepers seeking shelter on Thursday night, although it is understood a number of homeless people remained on the streets.

    Richard Edwards, chief executive of the Huggard Centre, said: "We have seen people coming in who we normally see on the streets, it's so cold.

    "People on the streets, their lives are at risk in this weather so we need to get them in."

    Arriva Trains Wales and Network Rail has cancelled all southern services, "despite considerable effort by railway teams".

    The only services operating "on a limited basis" are Shrewsbury to Crewe, Crewe to Chester, Chester to Holyhead, and Wrexham to Bidston.

    Great Western Railway says it is running "a minimal service" and is advising customers not to travel on many of its routes on Friday.

    As we face a second day of snow, the Met Office is warning that amber "be prepared" warnings are in place across south and mid Wales.

    A yellow "be aware" alert is also in force across north Wales.

    Many bus services aren't running this morning due to the adverse weather.

    Stagecoach has confirmed all of its services in south Wales are still suspended due to drifting snow and high winds.

    Cardiff and Newport bus services are also suspended and customers are advised to check for updates from 7am.

    N.A.T. services are suspended too - the company will issue another update before 8am.

    Travelling conditions are tricky out there this morning.South Wales Police says it has had lots of weather-related calls - the majority from drivers whose vehicles getting stuck.

    Across Wales, many roads are closed and bus services suspended. Drivers are still being advised not to travel unless absolutely necessary.
