    Two Guernsey team mates found themselves battling out for third place in the Women's 50m Backstroke.

    Tatiana Tostevin (29:43) clinched bronze marginally ahead of Courtney Butcher (29:68).

    Guernsey's Miles Munro has won gold in the Men's 50m Freestyle, his fourth in Gotland.

    His 22:09 effort was more than a second ahead of fellow Sarnian Jonathan Beck, who got silver with a 23:43 swim.

    Medal winning rides from Guernsey duo James Roe (silver) and Sam Culverwell (bronze) have meant a team silver for the island's mountain bike criterium team.

    Their efforts combined with Michael Serafin (9th), Andrew Colver (19th), and Bradley Vaudin (21st).

    Jersey didn't manage any individual medals, but together they got bronze - with their five riders placing between eighth and 29th among the 32 finishers.

    It's an all-Guernsey final in Badminton's mixed doubles, after both pairings triumphed in their semi-finals.

    Jordan Trebert and Chloe Le Tissier beat a Gotland pair in the semis.

    They'll now face fellow Sarnians Elena Johnson and Ove Svejstrup tomorrow at 13:30 BST.

    It's a sixth games gold for Guernsey's Tom Hollingsworth, who's come first in the Men's 100m Backstroke with a time of 55:78.

    Bronze went to fellow Guernsey swimmer Oliver Nightingale, who swam a 58:95 effort.

    Every medal is a scoop of ice cream for Guernsey's cycling coaches - and they're going to hate the stuff by the end of the week!

    Two more medals within the last few minutes have come courtesy of James Roe (silver) and Sam Culverwell (bronze) in the men's mountain bike criterium.

    Roe was pipped to the post by the Isle of Man, while Guernsey's Andrew Colver, Michael Serafin and Bradley Vaudin (pictured) will also be pleased with their times.

    Locals in the town of Visby may be seeing a few more bikes around because of the Island Games, on and off the courses.

    Lots of the teams and volunteers are using bikes to get between events around the town.

    Guernsey vs Gibraltar in the men's basketball

    Guernsey men's basketball team were unable to progress to the final of the Island Games, losing 95-75 to Gibraltar this afternoon.

    They're now pinning their medal hopes on tomorrow's third place play-off against Saaremaa.

    Head coach Adam Farish said while the team is disappointed, they'll be giving "absolutely everything" to try to bring a medal home for the Green and Whites.

    Guernsey's football manager says he's not hiding behind the fact that he took a young squad to Gotland.

    Steve Sharman's side lost 4-3 in injury time to the Isle of Man, a team they beat 3-0 in the final in Jersey two years ago to win gold.

    Jersey women's football coach Daniel Seviour said Gotland's 2-1 semi-final winning performance against his side was "by far" the best he'd seen at that level.

    Seviour was full of praise for his side, who can still return with a bronze medal if they win their final game.

    However, he said they couldn't quite match their "fantastic" opponents.

    Ellen Olofsson's double sent the hosts through, with Eve Watson's injury time header a mere consolation.

    He crossed the finish line in 48:42.

    Jamal Walton of the Cayman Islands won gold in 46:43, while the Isle of Man's Joseph Reid came third.
