  2. Guernsey College classes cancelled due to weather

    All classes have been cancelled at Guernsey College today and tonight due to the "freezing conditions" expected later.

    The college said online learning access will be available for anyone needing to complete their work.

  5. Snowfall affects services in Guernsey

    Snowfall across the Channel Islands is affecting transport and other services this morning.

    All States schools are closed in Guernsey along with Blanchelande College due to the snowy weather conditions.

    Alderney Airport remains closed after snow overnight and some bus services have also been suspended.

    The Medical Specialist Group says it will try to "maintain their services over the next few days" but understands if patients can't make appointments.

  8. Snow showers expected in Jersey as yellow warning issued

    A yellow snow warning is in place across Jersey this morning, Jersey Met has said.

    Snow showers are expected to move away by this evening.

    An orange snow warning for Guernsey has also been issued.

    An orange snow warning is in place across Guernsey this morning, Jersey Met has said.

    A band of snow showers is expected until 15:00 and there is potential for overnight snow into Wednesday too.

    Several bus services in Guernsey have been suspended due to the icy road conditions.

    Services currently not running include:

    • R61
    • R71
    • R41
    • R42
    • R51
    • R52
    • R21

    The R93 & R94 are currently terminating at Guernsey Airport and will not serve points to L'Eree, Pleinmont or Torteval.
