Noah and the Whale will play the closing party of Ibiza Rocks

Noah and the Whale have been announced as the closing act for this summer's Ibiza Rocks.

The London folk band will headline the Ibiza Rocks Closing Party on Wednesday 21 September.

British hip hop band Rizzle Kicks and rockers The Whip have also been added to the series of gigs in the Balearic Islands.

Plan B opened the season in May, where concerts take place every Tuesday in Mallorca and Wednesday nights in Ibiza.

Noah and the Whale singer Charlie Fink said: "I think this will be our last festival and then we are off on our UK tour in October and then America until pretty much the end of the year."

He also said that he had started "scribbling" new material and that it is being influenced by other British artists.

"I really want to write our English record next," he said. "We did a show a few weeks ago with Pulp. We were sharing the same stage with them and we watched every show they did.

"They are just a phenomenal band."

The line-up is as follows:

Magnetic Man/Katy B - 30 August (Mallorca) 31 August (Ibiza)

The Streets/DJ Fresh/Rizzle Kicks - 6 September (Mallorca) 7 September (Ibiza)

Madness/Whip - 13 September (Mallorca) 14 September (Ibiza)

Noah and the Whale - 21 September (Ibiza)
