Police investigating the murder of a man in Hereford are offering a £10,000 reward for information.

West Mercia Police's appeal over the death of Christian Bagley was featured on BBC One's Crimewatch later.

The 30-year-old was stabbed in the back and arm under Hunderton Bridge in the city after visiting his two-year-old daughter on Father's Day.

The force said the reward would be for information leading to the arrest and conviction of his killer or killers.

Mr Bagley tried to raise the alarm after being stabbed between 22:40 and 22:50 BST on 21 June "but tragically suffered significant blood loss before collapsing in Rogers Avenue", a police spokesman said.

His family and friends described him as a "quiet, very laid-back" man and "brilliant dad" who adored his daughter.

Det Ch Insp Leighton Harding said: "Christian's life ended in the most violent of circumstances and his family have suffered an unbearable loss.

"I firmly believe that someone has information which could lead us to those responsible. My appeal to them is to think about the impact Christian's murder has had on his family, in particular his young daughter who faces a life without her father, and to do the right thing by contacting us."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the incident room on 0800 056 0944.
