Thomas Groome murder: Arrest over missing man

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who disappeared more than five years ago.

The suspect, 38, is being held over the death of Thomas Groome, who was last seen on New Year's Day, 2010, in Thorne, Doncaster. His body is missing.

South Yorkshire Police said the suspect, from Doncaster, was being quizzed in connection with his death.

June Buttle, 56, pleaded guilty to Mr Groome's manslaughter in March and was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
