Shildon Alive: The County Durham charity helping people in crisis

Charity Shildon Alive provides food parcels and meals for those struggling to eat, as well as a shop where visitors can pay a donation for items.

"We've got young people coming in and they are really hungry," said manager Paula Nelson.

The organisation feeds the hungry and has been assisting people with problems such as housing, but with the cost of living crisis they're finding themselves under pressure like never before.

"Helping people who are living in crisis, it's just so hard some days," said Shildon Alive Chef Tracey Chappell.
