FA Cup Final must have 3pm kick-off says John Leech MP
The FA Cup Final should be moved from its 5.15pm kick-off back to a traditional 3pm start "so everyone can watch it and all the fans can get home in time afterwards", a Manchester MP has said.
John Leech said it was too late to change the the timing for the 2013 final next month, and that meant Wigan and Manchester City fans will miss the last trains from London on the Saturday night.
The Lib Dem MP, who tabled a parliamentary motion on Monday. said the final should be held on a day without any league matches, allowing a 3pm start so it was easier for travelling fans.
