Occupy protester Alison Playford on direct action

Direct action and people working together have helped make changes for equality, and not politicians, claimed Alison Playford, who has taken part in demonstrations of direct action.

She spoke about the actions of the suffragettes - on the 100th anniversary of the death of the suffragette Emily Wilding Davison - and the more recent equality marriage and Occupy protests about financial issues.

She debated with former Lord Falconer, a former Lord Chancellor, and people power after they watched a montage of direct action clips.
