Michael Fallon: Defence budget going up

The UK will spend more on defence under the new Budget, Defence Secretary Michael Fallon has said.

He said it was "good news for the armed forces" but that it "does not absolve us from the need to be more and more efficient".

He told BBC Breakfast that £5bn of efficiencies had been found since 2010 and that further savings would be sought in the future.
