Budget 2017: Hammond on drink, tobacco and travel taxes

Cigarettes and some ciders will be taxed more after the Budget, but the chancellor freezes duty on other drinks, fuel, and airline taxes.

The Treasury later said it meant the price of 20 cigarettes will rise by 28p, while the cost of hand-rolling tobacco will go by 41p for a 30-gramme pack.

And Philip Hammond announced a new rail card for those aged 26 to 30.
