Why are fewer people voting in elections?
Why aren’t more people in Wales turning out to vote? The 4 July election saw only 56% of voters fill out their ballot papers in Wales, compared with 60% across the UK.
In Abertillery, Blaenau Gwent, residents were split between feeling their voices wouldn’t be heard, and a desire to play their part.
"It’s the closest think I can get to making sure things change," said one shopper.
But another added: "We’re disillusioned with all parties, they’re always promising things that never come true."
