Ex-teacher, 83, volunteers as mock casualty actor
Caroline Thomas, a 83-year-old retired teacher, now plays a vital role in training emergency responders by volunteering as a mock casualty in lifelike medical simulations.
She is a senior instructor and branch leader with Casualties Union, a London charity that supplies volunteer actors to aid in the training of medical professionals.
Peter Johnson, London Fire Brigade Group Commander, says "it's invaluable to have that one-to-one human interaction".
