Waves smash Philippines coastline as typhoon hits

Footage filmed on 9 November from the Philippines shows the moment Typhoon Fung-wong swept through, causing huge waves to drench coastal towns.

Elsewhere, bridges were whipped about in the high winds of 185km/h (115mph) and people swam through floodwater in the streets.

The storm initially hit the country as a super-typhoon and has now weakened before it is expected to head to Taiwan.
